Service and support

The Polycon system is designed to be used in one of the harshest operating environments. Although ruggedized there may still be operational failures. We also recommend that the units are maintained on a planned periodic maintenance schedule.

Axnes Aviation AS offer a complete support and after sales service for our products – either through our network of approved support centres or direct to us in Norway.

Repair – in the event of a failure in use, we recommend that you run through the ‘’Reset Procedure’’ to make sure that it is a true failure rather than a setting that has been inadvertently set out of operational range. This will save unnecessary shipping costs for a simple reset. Download and follow through the Reset Document.

If you are certain that there is a fault or there is still a fault after following the reset procedure, please complete the Service and Repair request form and ship the unit to the Axnes Aviation repair address or to one of our approved service partners.

Planned maintenance – Due to the harsh operating environment we recommend that the Polycon system is regularly maintained on a scheduled service programme. Salt build up can adversely affect the rubber seals on the transceiver units and lead to seal failure and water ingress – a costly failure will be avoided by regular seal replacement. Our product monitoring data has concluded that the MP20 transceivers should have a maintenance seal change every 2 years and the Base Stations serviced every 5 years.

Your aircraft maintenance records system or business system may accommodate the triggering of your periodic maintenance for Polycon. We are also happy to monitor your units as part of our support services and advise you by email when a unit is due for its planned maintenance.
